SRH  had some bad luck because their Official Captain and Key player Aiden Markram misses out in this match due to his national duty ,  so they have to play with other key players like Mayank Agrawal,  Bhuvneshwar Kumar , Washington Sundar, Umran Malik etc.  With these players, SRH will have to rely on youngsters Like Rahul Tripathi and  Abhishek Sharma  to step up and fill the void of Markram.

Afghan Pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi and yorker sensation T Natarajan will have to lead the team's pace attack with experienced Bhuvneshwar kumar, whileAdil Rashid  will play a key role in the spin department.

On the other hand, RR has a well balanced team in this season , and they are carrying confidence of Runners Up of IPL 2022 and they are eager to mainmtain last season's performance. Sanju Samson has been in excellent form .. Jos Buttler will be crucial at the top of the order with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Paddikal. Trent Boult and Jason Holder will lead the pace attack while R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal are backbones of their spin bowling department.

1st Innings 

Youngster Yashaswi Jaiswal strikes a boundary in Bhuvi's 1st over to get going which creates early pressure on bowler. followed by Buttler who carves Natarajan for four boundaries in his first over. then in 3rd over Bhuvi conceded 17 runs and RR reaches the total of 50 runs in just 22 balls. The both RR openers continues the charge asWashington Sundar is hit for 19 in his 1st over and Jos Buttler brings up his 1st fifty of season in Just 20 balls. but soon after his fifty buttler got out by Afghan pacer Farooqi in last over of powerplay. but till then RR managed to reach 85/1 after the powerplay which is Highest Powerplay scores for Royals in IPL .

In middle overs Adil Rashid, right-arm leg break, comes into the attack for SRH and Sanju Samson comes in at No.3 for RR . Yashaswi Jaiswal continues to go on his explosive way and brings up his Fifty in 34 balls . J&K Speed Sensation Umran Malik is  so expensive in his first spell, going for 24 in 2 overs then Afghan Player Farooqi returns for another spell and sends the well-set young player Jaiswal back in dressing room. which sets the momentum for Umran Malik and Umran returns and knocks Padikkal out with a screamer of 149 kmph.

2nd Innings 

Trent Boult starts with a bang, bowls a double wicket maiden by Getting wickets of in-form Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi. Both batters  are out for ducks. After that Harry Brook whacks KM Asif down the ground for four, looking in good nick and Experinced Mayank Agarwal makes a positive start on his SRH debut. Brook And Agarwal's contributions made SRH in a spot of bother at 30/2 after the powerplay

After Powerplay Finishes RR bowlers Are takes the control of Game by Chahal gets Brook out in his first over then the short ball of Holder dismisses Washington Sundar.

Glenn Phillips just made 8 runs with 1 six and got out on the bowl of R Ashwin on extra-cover to leave SRH in big trouble. Abdul Samad in as Impact player in place of Farooqi for SRH and remains not out on 32(32) with Umran Malik who smashes 2 sixes and made 19(8) runs. Navdeep Saini in as Impact player for Jaiswal for RR but got expensive in last over of 23 runs. 

But Yuzvendra chahal comes out as a hero for RR in SRH vs RR match by bowling figures of 4-17-4 a, Ashwin got 1 wicket and Trent boult got 2 wickets. 

Summary

RR made a huge total of 203/5 which is 1st 200+ score in IPL 2023 with fifties of thier top 3 batters Buttler , Jaiswal and Samson. In  the beginning ofn2nd inning Boult gets  quick wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi in first over which makes SRH under pressure and this pressure results out as a huge loss to SRH by 72 runs. SRH is only reaches at 131/8 with little contributions of Abdul Samad.
